These cute little planets are super easy and fun to make and with the help of my tips and tricks, I think you will enjoy making them too.
Panoramas: I have found that these are the best photos to use to make mini planets because it creates a seamless photo.
The Sky: This will most likely be distorted. You may be able to see where the image was stitched together so a clear sky will be the easiest to use. However, clouds can give an interested stretched look.
The Horizon: This needs to be perfectly straight so the edges of the image meet. If your don’t you can easily rotate or straighten in Photoshop.
- We need to start with a square image, to do this go to Image > Image Size > Uncheck “Constrain Proportions” > Set height to match the width.
- Turn the image upside down! Use Image > Image Rotation > Flip
- Go to Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates > Rectangle to Polar > OK
